Disaster Response and Humanitarian Support
Sonartori seeks to support disaster-affected and highly vulnerable families through responsible emergency assistance, community preparedness, referrals and recovery-focused initiatives.
Community challenge
Cyclones, tidal surge and embankment failure repeatedly disrupt households in Patuakhali, and the poorest families recover slowest because assistance is uneven and short-lived.
Our proposed approach
We intend to work with union parishads and local volunteers on preparedness before an event, coordinated assistance during it, and recovery support afterwards, with every distribution documented.
