Women's Empowerment and Livelihoods
Sonartori seeks to strengthen women's capabilities, economic participation and decision-making through practical skills, livelihood development, financial literacy and access to responsible support services.
Community challenge
Women in coastal Patuakhali carry a large share of household risk while holding limited access to skills training, markets and formal financial services.
Our proposed approach
We intend to combine practical skills training with livelihood planning and financial literacy, and to connect women with appropriately authorized financial or support institutions rather than providing credit ourselves.
Intended beneficiaries
- Women from low-income households
- Women-headed households
- Young women entering the workforce
Sonartori does not offer microcredit, lending, loan disbursement or loan collection. Financial support is limited to literacy and linkage with authorized institutions.
